- Assistant Director of the Division of Wildlife Conservation at the Alaska Department of Fish & Game
- Previous work experience in tourism, federal and municipal government, and the Alaska Legislature
- Married 20 years to local attorney Eric Kueffner
- Enjoys hiking, gardening, boating, hunting, fishing, as well as acting (Perseverance Theater, Theatre in the Rough, Juneau Lyric Opera)
